Hillel at The University of Oklahoma is proud to offer Shabbat services and dinner to our students and community. Receiving Shabbat at our Hillel is vibrant and welcoming. Some students come for both services and dinner, and some come just for services or just for dinner. Many students bring their friends--all are welcome. We may have special themes for services or dinner, special dinner speakers, or just a time to relax and connect with the community.
Our services are led by staff or other Jewish leaders along with students. To accommodate everyone, we work to provide a pluralistic environment where everyone can feel at home. If you want to lead or assist with services, please contact Zach Kampf, our Director of Jewish Student Life.
Friday Night Dinner & Services
Our Hillel has services and dinner on the first, second, and fourth Fridays of the month unless otherwise noted on our calendar. Services start at 6 pm with dinner immediately following. For planning purposes, RSVPs are required for dinner only. On the third Friday of each month, we attend services in Oklahoma City, rotating through our three congregations. For students and the community not interested in attending services with us in the city, we are happy to set up a student-run event (Kiddush and dinner) at The Library Bar & Grill (or alternate location).
